Thomas Raynaud founded the BuildingBuilding agency in Paris in 2007. He graduated from the École Spéciale d’Architecture, Paris, and finished his studies at the University of Hong Kong. His work deals with issues of landscape and the practice of rehabilitation. In 2015, he won the competition for the entrance to the Grand Park of Tirana (Albania) partnering with the agencies UHO and Elias Guenoun.
He often works using Computer Assisted Design technology, producing synthesis images that maintain a kind of ambiguity between hyperrealism and abstraction. In 2012, he delivered the extension to the International centre of art and landscape at the Isle of Vassivière. In 2014 he – along with the AUC and Cédric Libert – was invited to take part in the 14th Venice Architecture Biennale as part of the Monditalia exhibition led by the architect Rem Koolhaas OMA/AMO (2014).
